Psychometric Properties of the Arabic Versions of the Narcissistic Personality Scale among adults in Saudi Society in the Light of Some Demographic Variables

Abstract

The current study aimed to Psychometric Properties of the Arabic Versions of the Narcissistic Personality Scale developed by Chinnarasri et al. (2021) among adults in Saudi Society (n=580). As well as to identify the differences in the level of narcissistic personality in according to gender, marital status, educational level, and the region of residence. The study used the descriptive approach. The results of the confirmatory factor analysis showed saturation values of scale items ranging from (0.66-0.33), with values of (CFI =0.90), (TLI = 0.90), (GFI = 0.91), and (RMSEA = .05). which reflect an acceptable construct validity. Also, the Alpha Cronbach reliability was (a = 0.87). The results showed a low level of narcissistic personality among the study sample, and there were differences in narcissistic personality according to the educational level in favor of participants with high school certificate, and there were no differences in narcissistic personality according to gender, marital status, and the region of residence.
