Abstract

The study aimed to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and insecure emotional attachment among women in Saudi society (N=222) Their ages from 18 years and over and to assess the differences in emotional intelligence and insecure emotional attachment according to occupational status and age. The study used the descriptive approach, and the scales of emotional intelligence, and emotional attachment were administered. The results showed there was a negative relationship between emotional intelligence and insecure emotional attachment, there were differences in empathy due occupational status; There were differences in managing personal emotions due to age; and there were differences in anxious attachment due to occupational status and age.
