Emotional intelligence and its relationship to emotional creativity and academic achievement among female university students

The current study aimed to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence, emotional creativity and academic achievement among female university students. The study was conducted on a sample of university students consisting of (174) female students from the humanities and scientific colleges. The emotional intelligence and emotional creativity scale was applied to them. A set of results were reached, including: the existence of a statistically significant positive correlation between emotional intelligence and emotional creativity among female university students (study sample), the absence of a statistically significant correlation between emotional intelligence and the level of academic achievement among female students, emotional creativity can be predicted through the total score of emotional intelligence and its sub-dimensions (awareness of one's own emotions, and managing and processing the emotions of others) among female students. The results also showed statistically significant differences between female university students with high emotional intelligence and female students with low emotional intelligence in emotional creativity in favor of high ones. In light of the results of the study, recommendations and proposed future studies were proposed
