Abstract

The current research aims to reveal whether there is a correlation between the number of hours of social media consumption (TikTok - Instagram) and perceived body image. This study was applied to (377) trainees of the Technical College for Girls in Makkah in the specializations of: (Beauty - Programming and Web Uses - Accounting - Hajj and Umrah Services). The body image scale (Zainab Shakir, 2009) and data from the mobile smart phone device from the device settings were used to identify the duration of device use.The results of the study concluded that there is no relationship between the hours of social media consumption and body image, and there are no statistically significant differences between the number of hours of social media consumption and body image
