Cyberbullying and its Relation to Suicidal Tendencies among Female Adolescents in Jeddah

The current study aimed at recognizing the relationship between cyberbullying and suicidal Tendencies among a sample of female adolescents in Jeddah, exploring the predictability of suicidal Tendencies through cyberbullying, in addition to recognizing the level of cyberbullying and suicidal tendencies, The study adopted the descriptive correlational approach, The sample of study consisted of (202) female students from secondary stage in Jeddah, The researchers used the cyberbullying scale and the suicidal tendencies scale as tools of study. The results indicated the existence of a positive correlation between cyberbullying and suicidal tendencies, and the contribution of to suicidal tendencies to prediction of cyberbullying, In addition to the presence of a low level of cyberbullying across its dimensions within the study sample, there was also a low level of suicidal tendencies in all dimensions except for the dimension of death aversion, which was at a moderate level. Based on the results of the study, the researchers recommended attempting to Raising awareness among teenage girls to Request immediate assistance if they experience cyberbullying on social media platforms, and empowering the role of psychological counseling in schools involves providing tangible assistance and psychological support to teenage girls
